
VIRGINIA — A CODI Alert has been issued for a 6-year-old Chesterfield County girl who was last seen Thursday morning in Northern Virginia, according to Virginia State Police.
Authorities said Thelma Jessie Cockrell was last seen around 8 a.m. on Wolfe Street in Alexandria.
Thelma is described as having black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 4 feet tall, weighs about 50 pounds and was last seen wearing a long white T-shirt with a cartoon character on the front.
State police said Thelma was last seen with Jasmine Courtney Cockrell, 37. Jasmine is described as having black hair and brown eyes and weighing about 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue and purple sundress.
Investigators believe Jasmine may be driving a red 2016 Mazda CX-5 bearing Virginia license plate SWR-9898.
According to Chesterfield County police, authorities are concerned for the safety of both Thelma and Jasmine due to existing health and welfare concerns involving Jasmine.

The case remains under investigation.
