
FLORIDA — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a Missing Child Alert for a 16-year-old girl last seen in Homestead, according to authorities.
Detectives with the Homestead Police Department said Antoinette Smith was last seen at her residence near the 2500 block of Southeast 14th Avenue. She left her home and has not been seen since.
Smith is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. She has black long braided hair, brown eyes and was last known to be wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, pink leggings, brown socks and white Crocs. Authorities also said she may be wearing green contact lenses.
Officials noted that Smith suffers from a mental illness that requires medication, and she did not have her medication with her when she went missing.
