NORTH CAROLINA — A crash has shut down part of Interstate 85 in Durham County on Friday afternoon.
The wreck happened in the northbound lanes near Redwood Road. Officials said a vehicle appeared to have collided with a tree beside the interstate.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Durham County EMS and Durham fire-rescue crews responded to the scene around 1:40 p.m.
It is not immediately known how long the highway will remain closed or whether anyone was injured.
Authorities continue to investigate.
