PENNSYLVANIA — A multi-vehicle crash has caused significant traffic delays on Tuesday morning on Interstate 83 in York County, according to authorities.
The crash occurred just after 7 a.m. on the northbound side of I-83 near mile marker 29. Emergency dispatchers reported that the initial crash involved two vehicles, but a “wave effect” led to five additional vehicles being impacted.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident, and traffic control crews have responded to manage the scene.
Officials said a lane restriction has been put in place just north of Exit 28 (PA 297 – Zion’s View/Strinestown), contributing to traffic backups in the area.
It remains unclear whether there were any injuries or the types of vehicles involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
