FLORIDA — At least one person was injured Wednesday morning after an overturned vehicle crash caused major traffic delays on Interstate 75 in Venice, Florida.
The crash happened along the northbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 186 between Sumter Boulevard and River Road.
Live Florida Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed what appeared to be an overturned SUV next to the interstate.
Officials said motorists should expect delays of around 45 minutes due to heavy congestion in the area. Traffic backups stretched more than six miles as of around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Additional details about the injured person and what led to the crash have not yet been released.
