Part of I-35 in Texas shut down following semi-truck crash

TEXAS — Multiple lanes on northbound Interstate 35E are currently closed in Dallas following a crash involving a jack-knifed 18-wheeler Thursday afternoon.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred in the curve beneath the 12th Street Bridge on I-35E.

Authorities said the incident appears to involve only the tractor-trailer. The driver was not injured.

The crash is causing significant traffic delays in the area, and traffic is currently being diverted onto 12th Street while crews work to clear the scene.

Officials also reported an oil spill associated with the crash, which is being cleaned up.

The northbound lanes remain affected, and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible.

The incident remains under investigation, and the roadway is currently experiencing major delays.
