VIRGINIA — A tractor-trailer crash shut down northbound lanes of Interstate 295 in Prince George County late Friday night, causing major traffic disruptions.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. along I-295 northbound just south of Enon Church Road.
As of about 9:50 p.m., all northbound lanes remained closed in the area as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Officials have not released details on what led to the crash or whether there were any injuries.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while first responders continue clearing the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
