ALABAMA — One person is in critical condition and another is in custody following a shooting Sunday in Wetumpka, according to police.
The Wetumpka Police Department said the shooting occurred at the intersection of Coosa River Parkway and Highway 14. Authorities said the victim was shot multiple times and suffered life-threatening injuries.
Officials confirmed that one person had been taken into custody as of Sunday afternoon but did not release additional details about the suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Police have not identified the victim.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials said more information will be released as it becomes available.
