TENNESSEE — A man was hospitalized and a woman was taken into custody following a stabbing at a Nashville hotel Sunday morning, according to police.
The incident happened just before 8 a.m. at the Red Roof PLUS+ hotel on Claridge Drive near Nashville International Airport.
According to Metro Nashville Police, officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the hotel and found an injured man at the scene. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where authorities said he is expected to survive.
Police said a woman believed to be connected to the stabbing was detained at the scene. Officers described her as being in her 20s or 30s. Her identity and any potential charges had not been released as of Sunday morning.
Investigators have not said what led to the stabbing or exactly where on the property it occurred. Multiple Metro Nashville Police patrol vehicles remained at the hotel during the investigation, though most officers had cleared the scene by around 9 a.m.
The investigation remains ongoing.
