GEORGIA — A 23-year-old woman was hospitalized after a shooting Monday afternoon in east Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the shooting happened around noon near the intersection of Hall Street and Northern Street in front of Fincher’s BBQ.
Authorities responded to the area after receiving reports of an aggravated assault and shooting. Deputies made contact with the victim at the scene before paramedics transported her to a hospital for treatment.
According to medical staff, the woman is listed in stable condition.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said no additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
