
NORTH CAROLINA — A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after a shooting on South Saunders Street in Raleigh, according to police.
The Raleigh Police Department said officers responded around 8 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of South Saunders Street.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police said the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting. Officers said there is no ongoing threat to the community, and the investigation remains ongoing.
