ILLINOIS — A 22-year-old woman is in critical condition after being shot early Tuesday morning in the Hermosa neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
The shooting occurred around 3:18 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Kilbourn Avenue.
Police said the woman was outside when she heard gunfire and was struck in the pelvic area. She was later taken to Humboldt Park Health, where she was listed in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported.
Area Five detectives are investigating the shooting. Authorities have not released any information about possible suspects.
