FLORIDA — A shooting in the Childs Park neighborhood of St. Petersburg left one person hospitalized Friday evening, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of 15th Avenue South.
Authorities said one person was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment. The extent of the victim’s injuries has not been released.
Detectives remained at the scene Friday night as the investigation continued.
Police have not released information about what led up to the shooting, and it is unclear whether any suspects have been identified or taken into custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
