ARIZONA — A man was hospitalized after a shooting at a residence in Surprise early Friday morning, according to police.
Officers responded around 4 a.m. to a home near Cactus Road and Cotton Lane following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released information about his condition.
Police said another man inside the home was detained for questioning.
Investigators said there is no active threat to the surrounding community.
The shooting remains under investigation by Surprise police.
