
OHIO — One person was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in east Columbus on Saturday morning, according to a city public safety dispatcher.
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle around 9:30 a.m. near East Broad Street and Edgevale Road, close to Bexley.
The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, the dispatcher said.
Authorities have not said whether the driver remained at the scene following the crash.
East Broad Street was briefly closed between Lowell and North Harding roads while crews responded, but the roadway has since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
