SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered near a burned vehicle Tuesday night in Spartanburg County.
According to the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office, the incident occurred near the intersection of Pinecrest Road and Woodburn Road.
Spartanburg city police and the coroner were called to the scene where they found a vehicle that had been burned and a body nearby.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Mequez Bernard Geer of Anderson.
Police have deemed the circumstances suspicious, and the investigation remains ongoing. No further details have been released at this time.
