
TEXAS — A man was found dead in a parking lot in east Houston Sunday morning, and police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers were called around 8 a.m. to the 323 block of South Cesar Chavez Boulevard after a caller reported discovering a man on the ground.
When authorities arrived, they found the man lying in the parking lot, not inside a vehicle. Officials did not say whether any vehicles were nearby at the time.
Investigators said the man had suffered some form of trauma, though the exact nature of his injuries has not been released. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the man has not yet been made public.
Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate. Officials said the case remains active, and additional details will be released as they become available.
