NORTH CAROLINA — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead from a gunshot wound Thursday afternoon in Durham.
According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded around 4:26 p.m. to the intersection of Cornwallis Road and South Roxboro Street after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have not publicly identified the victim, and no information about a suspect or suspects has been released.
