FLORIDA — A Lake Worth Beach woman was killed and two other people were injured in a crash Sunday morning on Lantana Road in Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash happened around 11:05 a.m. in the 3100 block of Lantana Road in Lantana.
Investigators said 52-year-old Marbelia Espinoza was driving westbound on Lantana Road when she attempted to make a left turn onto an access road and pulled into the path of an oncoming BMW.
According to deputies, the BMW struck the passenger side of Espinoza’s vehicle, sending both vehicles off the roadway and into a grassy area.
Espinoza, of Lake Worth Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.
Authorities said the two people inside the BMW suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
