WISCONSIN — One person is dead following a crash involving a vehicle and a bridge early Friday near Milwaukee’s airport, authorities confirmed.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Howell and College avenues, close to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. Video from the scene showed a vehicle that had crashed into a bridge amid foggy conditions.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Police have not provided additional details about the cause of the crash or said whether any other individuals were involved or injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
