TEXAS — At least one person was killed in a crash Monday morning on U.S. Highway 59 North in Lufkin, according to the Lufkin Police Department.
Police said the crash happened on the northbound side of U.S. 59 just south of the Pentecostal campground.
Authorities said both northbound lanes were blocked as officers with the Lufkin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene.
Officials have not released the identity of the person killed or provided details about how the crash happened.
Drivers were urged to be patient and expect delays in the area as the investigation continues.
