TEXAS — A passenger was killed early Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in west Houston, according to police.
Houston Police responded to the collision around 2:20 a.m. in the 3900 block of Gessner Road near Centrepark Drive.
Witnesses told investigators that the crash occurred when one vehicle was traveling southbound on Gessner while another was heading northbound and attempted to turn onto Centrepark. The two vehicles collided during the maneuver.
Police said speed may have been a factor in the crash, and both drivers are being investigated for possible impairment.
Officials said the turning vehicle, a Honda Accord, was occupied by two young adult women. The front-seat passenger was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The other vehicle, described as a white Ford Taurus, was driven by an adult man.
No charges had been filed as of Saturday morning. The crash remains under investigation.
