TENNESSEE — One person was killed and another person was seriously injured following a crash late Tuesday night on a Memphis interstate, according to police.
The Memphis Police Department said officers responded just before 11 p.m. Tuesday to a two-vehicle crash near Interstates 55 and 240.
When officers arrived, they found two people injured in the wreck. Police said both victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
One of the victims later died from their injuries, according to police. The other person remained hospitalized in critical condition as of Wednesday morning.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or provided additional details about what led to the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
