
NORTH CAROLINA — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that happened early Sunday morning in east Charlotte.
Officers responded around 4 a.m. to the area near the 9400 block of East W.T. Harris Boulevard, according to police.
Authorities said the crash resulted in at least one fatality, but no additional details about the circumstances of the wreck have been released.
Police closed East W.T. Harris Boulevard between Allister Drive and Elwood Drive while investigators worked at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
