ARIZONA — One person is dead and another was injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Peoria, according to police.
Officers responded to reports of a rollover collision Friday night near 83rd Avenue and Peoria Avenue. When first responders arrived, they found two people inside the vehicle.
Authorities said one of the occupants was pronounced dead at the scene. The second person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of that person’s injuries has not been released.
Peoria police have not yet identified the individuals involved, and no information has been provided regarding what may have caused the crash.
The area near 85th Avenue and Peoria Avenue was closed for a time as officers conducted their investigation. Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
