
MICHIGAN — A 34-year-old man was killed and several other people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday evening in Clinton County, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported around 8:40 p.m. June 1 on North Hollister Road south of French Road in Duplain Township.
Investigators said the man, an Elsie-area resident, was driving south when his vehicle crossed into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by a 34-year-old woman from the Elsie area. The woman’s vehicle then collided with a second northbound vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Elsie-area woman.
The man, who was the sole occupant of his vehicle, died at the scene.
The two other drivers and several passengers in their vehicles suffered serious injuries and were transported to University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing Hospital for treatment.
Deputies said multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the St. Johns Police Department, Ovid-Middlebury and Elsie fire departments, Clinton Area Ambulance and Eaton Area EMS.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
