
TEXAS — Fort Worth police are investigating a fatal stabbing that left one man dead late Saturday night.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. Saturday to the 2400 block of Lillian Street after receiving a report of an assault.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one stab wound. First responders provided medical care at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead.
Police said a suspect later approached a Fort Worth police officer and stated that he believed he had stabbed someone. The individual was taken into custody.
Homicide investigators are continuing to gather information and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death and confirm the identity of the victim.
