GEORGIA — A man was found stabbed to death early Monday morning near Whitehall Street Southwest, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Police said officers responded shortly after midnight to the area of 479 Whitehall St. SW after receiving a report of a person injured or down. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds.
Investigators later confirmed the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
Officers and crime scene investigators were seen working near railroad tracks behind Whitehall Street as the homicide investigation continued Monday morning.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim. No information about a possible suspect has been announced.
The investigation remains ongoing.
