
SOUTH CAROLINA — Police are investigating a second deadly shooting within the city limits of Darlington in less than two days.
According to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee, a man was killed early Sunday morning after being shot while inside a vehicle on Limit Street in Darlington.
Officials said the victim was driving when the shooting occurred. The man’s identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
The fatal shooting comes just days after another violent incident in the city. On Friday afternoon, a 19-year-old man and a 6-year-old boy were shot in the area of Guess Street, according to Darlington Police Chief Jimmy Davis.
Authorities said the 19-year-old later died from his injuries. The 6-year-old remains hospitalized, and his condition has not been released.
Residents have expressed concern about the recent violence and are questioning whether the two shootings may be connected.
Police have not announced any arrests or released information indicating whether the incidents are related.
The investigation remains ongoing.
