
OKLAHOMA — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after police said he broke into a neighbor’s home Thursday morning in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
According to Midwest City Police Chief Greg Wipfli, officers responded to a reported shooting shortly before 7:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Lloyd Avenue, near Northeast 10th Street and Post Road.
When officers arrived, they found that a man had allegedly broken into a neighboring home. Police said the homeowner then shot the intruder.
The injured man was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities said his injuries were considered life-threatening.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.
