
KANSAS — A Gardner man was killed in a three-vehicle crash Friday evening on Interstate 35 in Johnson County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. Friday on northbound I-35 beneath 127th Street.
Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs indicate that all three vehicles involved were traveling northbound when a motorcycle operated by 26-year-old Jacob Hunsperger struck the rear of a Jeep. Investigators said Hunsperger then swerved to the left and collided with a Subaru.
Hunsperger suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead.
Authorities said the occupants of the Jeep and Subaru were not injured.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Hunsperger was wearing a helmet and gloves at the time of the collision.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
