TEXAS — A 68-year-old man was killed Saturday evening in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Hunt County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 6:40 p.m. on State Highway 66 near County Road 2112.

A preliminary investigation found that the driver of a 2024 Triumph motorcycle was traveling southbound when he lost control and laid the bike down. The motorcycle slid into a barrow ditch, officials said.

The driver, identified as George Donald Bee of Fate, was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
