
VIRGINIA — A 35-year-old man died and two other people were injured after a head-on crash in Prince Edward County early Saturday morning, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash happened shortly after 6:15 a.m. on May 9 along Back Hampden Sydney Road.
Police said a 2021 Genesis G70 crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2015 Chevrolet Impala.
The driver of the Impala, identified as 35-year-old James Anema Jr. of Cullen, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. State police said he later died from his injuries.
Authorities said the driver of the Genesis and a passenger in that vehicle were also transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
