
FLORIDA — A person riding an electric scooter was killed after losing control along a roadway in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened as the rider was traveling east on Boggy Creek Road in a closed construction lane.
Investigators said the rider lost control of the scooter and fell. The individual was taken to UCF Lake Nona Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
