ALABAMA — A Guntersville woman was killed Thursday in a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Jefferson County, according to authorities.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 44-year-old Patches Rachelle Ford of Guntersville.
Officials said Ford was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Alabama Highway 79 at Narrows Road in Pinson.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Ford was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where she was pronounced dead at 1:39 p.m., authorities said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
