WISCONSIN — One person was killed and three others were injured after a sedan entered the path of a semi-truck Sunday night in Sheboygan County, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Scenic View Drive and Highway 23 in the Town of Greenbush.

A preliminary investigation found that the sedan was traveling on Scenic View Drive when it failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of the semi on Highway 23.

Authorities said the driver of the sedan died in the crash. Three passengers in the vehicle were transported to hospitals for treatment of injuries.

The sheriff’s office did not release the names, ages or hometowns of those involved.

Highway 23 was closed until early Monday morning while crews investigated the crash and cleared the scene. Officials said the semi overturned as a result of the collision.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
