SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed Sunday afternoon in an ATV crash involving a pickup truck in Jasper County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:12 p.m. at the intersection of Cherry Hill Road and Bridgetown Drive, authorities said.
Troopers said the collision involved a 2017 Toyota Tundra towing a trailer and two 2022 Yamaha ATVs. According to investigators, the Toyota was traveling north on Cherry Hill Road while the two ATVs were traveling south.
Highway Patrol said one ATV struck the other ATV before then colliding with the Toyota Tundra.
The driver of one ATV was injured and transported to a hospital, where they later died. The driver of the second ATV and the driver of the Toyota were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
