
GEORGIA — One person is dead and two others were injured after a car crashed into a Kroger grocery store in DeKalb County on Wednesday afternoon, according to fire officials.
The crash occurred at the store located on Wesley Chapel Road near Interstate 20 in unincorporated Decatur.
A spokesperson for DeKalb County Fire Rescue confirmed that one person died at the scene, while two others sustained injuries. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
Officials said no pedestrians were struck during the incident.
Preliminary information indicates the crash involved two vehicles. Images from the scene show both an SUV and a sedan positioned against the front of the store following the impact.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say more information will be released as it becomes available.
