
GEORGIA — A 23-year-old man was arrested on marijuana charges after Savannah police said officers found drugs, ammunition and firearms during an investigation Tuesday evening.
According to the Savannah Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Montgomery Street and Pearl Street.
Police said the driver, identified as 23-year-old Zyqui Coley, was already on probation for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers allegedly found 46.23 grams of marijuana.
Investigators later searched a residence in the 1800 block of Upson Street, where they said they discovered about 185 grams of marijuana, a firearm holster, three rifle magazines, one pistol magazine, 9mm ammunition and 7.62 ammunition.
Police also said several people found in an abandoned vehicle outside the home were in possession of four handguns. According to investigators, one of the firearms had been reported stolen and another was equipped with a machine gun conversion device.
Coley was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
