ALABAMA — A 19-year-old Hartselle man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 65.

According to the Priceville Police Department, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. near mile marker 335.

The driver, identified as Dominik Fabian Mendoza Ulken, reportedly refused to stop, sparking a pursuit that reached speeds over 100 miles per hour.

Police say Ulken eventually pulled over near mile marker 329.

During the investigation, officers say they found synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Ulken was taken into custody and transported to the Morgan County Jail.

He faces several charges, including trafficking dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, felony attempting to elude, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and improper lane change.

A Morgan County Circuit Judge set his bond at $162,600.

Ulken is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
