ALABAMA — A Mobile man is accused of assault after allegedly hitting another man with a metal object, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of Brooke Avenue for a report of an assault, police said. When officers arrived, they learned the victim had already gone to a location in the 1400 block of Dauphin Island Parkway.
Police said the victim suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene but refused to be taken to a hospital.
Investigators determined that the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Parome Madison, allegedly struck the victim with a metal object during an argument.
Madison was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. He was taken to Metro Jail and later released on a total bond of $8,100, which also includes charges for not having a driver’s license in possession and a violation.
He is scheduled to appear in court April 28 on the assault charge and Aug. 6 for the additional charges.
The case remains under investigation.
