MARYLAND — Multiple people were injured in two separate violent incidents in Laurel on Wednesday, according to police.
Authorities said three people were wounded in a shooting and taken to area hospitals for treatment. Officials did not immediately release information about the victims’ conditions or what led to the shooting.
In a separate incident nearby, officers responded to a stabbing in which two people were injured. Those victims were also transported to hospitals for treatment.
Police said investigators are still working to determine whether the shooting and stabbing are connected. Additional information has not yet been released.
