MARYLAND — Several people, including multiple children, were injured Thursday morning in a crash involving a school bus near Davidsonville Elementary School, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
The crash occurred in the 800 block of Central Avenue, where a school bus carrying children was involved in a collision.
Officials said nine passengers on the bus were evaluated following the crash. Most of the children suffered minor injuries or were uninjured, but they were transported to hospitals because they were too young to refuse medical treatment.
Three people in the other vehicle, including two children, were also injured and taken to hospitals. Their conditions have not been released.
Anne Arundel County police and school officials responded to the scene to manage traffic and assist students who were not transported for treatment.
Authorities have not released additional details about what led to the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
