Multiple homes and businesses in Kentucky without power

KENTUCKY — Nearly 2,000 customers across Kentucky are without power as of Monday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.

The outage tracker reported 1,948 customers without electricity statewide, affecting about 0.08% of the more than 2.4 million customers being tracked.

Kentucky currently has the third-highest number of power outages in the nation and ranks seventh for the percentage of customers affected, according to the website.

Robertson County has the largest number of outages in the state, with 917 customers without power. Pike County reported 409 outages, while Nicholas County had 382. Clinton County reported 78 outages and Letcher County reported 63.

By percentage, Robertson County is the hardest-hit area in the state, with 56.71% of tracked customers without electricity.

Among utility providers, Fleming-Mason Energy reported the highest number of outages with 1,301 customers affected. Kentucky Power reported 472 outages, while South Kentucky RECC reported 125.

Officials have not released a cause for the outages. Utility crews continue working to restore service across affected areas Monday morning.
