FLORIDA — The search for a missing Franklin County man has ended after authorities confirmed his death.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the body of 73-year-old William Collins was located Thursday. Collins had been reported missing after he was last heard from on Tuesday of last week at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Sheriff A.J. Smith said an autopsy is scheduled to take place Friday. The cause and manner of death have not yet been released.
Officials stated that the investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding Collins’ death.
