ALABAMA — The body of a missing boater was recovered Tuesday at Lake Guntersville, according to authorities in Marshall County.
Marshall County EMA said search crews located the body of Jeremiah Gamble, who had been missing since Sunday afternoon near Honeycomb Creek and Goat Island.
Troopers said Gamble had been aboard a 24-foot 2023 Bentley Legacy pontoon boat before entering the water. Authorities said he went beneath the surface and did not resurface.
Several agencies assisted in the search effort, including the Guntersville Fire Department, Guntersville Rescue Squad, Crane Hill Fire and Rescue, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and the Guntersville Police Department’s Marine Unit.
Officials have not released additional details surrounding the incident.
