
INDIANA — Five people, including an 18-year-old man and four juveniles, have been arrested following an investigation into a series of vehicle break-ins in Logansport.
According to the Logansport Police Department, officers began receiving reports around 6 a.m. Thursday, May 28, regarding items stolen from multiple vehicles throughout the city.
During the investigation, officers identified several people believed to be connected to the thefts. Officers later located four suspects at a local park and took them into custody.
Police obtained a search warrant and searched two backpacks and a residence in the 1500 block of Smead Street. During the search, investigators recovered two handguns, cash, Apple AirPods, a set of Chevrolet vehicle keys, two credit cards, a .45-caliber handgun magazine and other items believed to have been stolen.
Authorities ultimately arrested five individuals in connection with the break-ins. Police identified the adult suspect as 18-year-old Cameron Graham of Logansport. The remaining suspects are juveniles.
The Cass County Prosecutor’s Office formally charged Graham on May 29 with felony theft involving a firearm, felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor, misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
The four juveniles face preliminary charges of theft involving a firearm, dangerous possession of a firearm by a juvenile, theft and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
Online court records indicate Graham is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Monday, June 1, at 1 p.m.
The Logansport Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is working to identify the rightful owners of several recovered items as the investigation continues.
