SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating after a woman was found dead near a restaurant in Anderson County on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area near the Captain D’s restaurant on West Shockley Ferry Road after reports of a body being discovered.
Officials said the victim was a woman, though her identity has not been released.
Deputies said there were no immediate signs of foul play. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene as investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
