NORTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating a possible homicide after a body was discovered in a yard Sunday morning in Scotland County.
According to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 7 a.m. to the area of McLaughlin Road after receiving a report of a body found on the property.
When deputies arrived, they located the victim in the yard. Investigators said the death is being treated as a possible homicide, though officials have not released details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the case.
No arrests have been announced, and authorities have not disclosed whether any suspects have been identified.
