TEXAS — Police are investigating after a body was found in a drainage canal in northeast Houston Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.
The Houston Police Department said officers responded to the 9800 block of Ribbonwood Street near Sterlingshire Street, where they located the body of an adult in a small drainage canal.
Authorities said the identity of the person has not yet been determined.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the death remain limited. Police said an investigation is currently underway.
Officials have not released additional information.
